The Young Muslim Women’s Association (YMWA) was established in 1972 under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sarvath El Hassan and was registered at the Ministry of Social Development (No. 62) as a non-profit, charitable organization with the aim of serving the Jordanian society through education related projects. The YMWA has always focused its attention on the educational needs of the Jordanian youth particularly children and women. gradually, and under the guidance of Princess Sarvath, and with the help of Jordanian ministries and foreign educational organizations, the Association founded two major educational institutions: 1. The Special Education centre (1974) that caters to the needs of intellectually disadvantaged young students 2. The Princess Sarvath Community College (1980) that at inception aimed to educate financially underprivileged females in Jordan and now focuses on females living in Jordan on a general level. Our vision is to be a leading driver and model on the human development front, in the Kingdom and the region. EXERTING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE SOCIETY: Our mission is to support women and elevate their social level by educating and empowering them, and serving special needs students by providing them with specialized rehabilitation programs, and helping them find suitable job opportunities.
